Presentation Type: Presentation (30 minutes)

Intended Audience: GIS User, Student
Abstract
QGIS is full of powerful tools for working with vector and raster layers. This session will go over QGIS’s editing tools, and will give an overview of some of the geoprocessing tools available in the software. Being free and open-source, all of the tools and capabilities are open to any user; you won’t find any advanced license paywalls here. If you’ve never used QGIS to work with your data before, you’re in for a treat.
Presenter(s)
Joshua Carlson
GIS Developer, Kendall County
Josh is a GIS Developer in the public sector, where he gets to nudge boundary lines around and build things that (hopefully) make Kendall County run a little better. When he’s not on the clock, you can find him mapping on OpenStreetMap, fiddling with things, knitting, or talking too much to his wife and sons about any of the above. He knits all his own socks.
